Job Summary
AsAssistantGeneral Counsel - Intellectual Propertyat Honeywell you will have a significant impact on the companys intellectual property strategy and protection. Your legalexpertiseand guidance will directly influence the strength and value of Honeywells intellectual assets. By providing legal counsel and guidance on IP matters you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Honeywells IP rights are protected and enforced.
You will report directly to ourVP ChiefIPCounsel ProcessTechnologyandyoullwork out of ourRosemontIL or Charlotte NClocation on aHybridwork schedule.
In this role you willimpactHoneywells ability to protect its innovationsmaintaina strong IP portfolio and drive business growth through strategic intellectual property management. Yourcontributionswill help Honeywell stay at the forefront of technology andmaintaina competitive advantage in the market.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide legal counsel and guidance on intellectual property (IP) matters to Honeywells business units and senior management.
- Manage and oversee the protection and enforcement of Honeywells IP rights including patents trademarks copyrights and trade secrets.
- Draft review and negotiate IP-related agreements including licensing agreements technology transfer agreements and joint development agreements.
- Conduct IP due diligence for mergers acquisitions and other IP business transactions.
- Provide IP training to mitigate risks.
- Manage and oversee the work of external IP counsel.
Qualifications
YOU MUSTHAVE
- License to practice as a lawyer in a major legaljurisdiction.
- License to practice before the USPTO
- A minimum of 8 years oflegalexperience in intellectual propertyat a leadinglaw-firmand/or in-house experience.
- Extensive intellectual property experience with an emphasis on domestic and international portfolio development and providing proactive recommendations to mitigate IP risks.
- Good understanding of IP technology transactions including IP licensing joint development agreements and mergers and acquisitions.

The annual base salary range for this position is $00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
