Job: MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Tech Classification: Hourly/Non-Exempt Job Category: 3 Technicians
Position Summary MRI technologists run the magnetic resonance imaging scanner to create a diagnostic image for the physician. They maintain imaging equipment and ensure that their patients are protected and in an optimal position for imaging. They must work closely with the physician by taking medical histories keeping records and adjusting the scanner as directed.
Essential Functions -Produces high quality Magnetic Resonance scans in a timely manner. -Timely reports information to the Radiologist. -Cleans and maintains equipment and prepares necessary reports and maintains all required records. -Always ensures the safety of patients. -Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives. -On call duties required. Reports to and depart from work on time and as scheduled. -Performs other duties as assigned. -Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure. -Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience -One year experience in radiologic technology preferred. -Training in MRI Scanning and CT (Computed Tomography) preferred. Education -Registered with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required upon hire date. -Current license with Texas Medical Board required. -BLS (Basic Life Support) required upon hire date
