Job Summary
About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Automation Engineer with strong experience in Siemens S7-400 and PCS 7 to support major industrial and process-plant automation projects. The role involves gathering client requirements preparing engineering documentation developing PLC/SCADA applications executing FAT/SAT and leading commissioning and handover activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and document client requirements for process plant automation systems.
- Prepare Functional Design Specifications control philosophies test procedures and related engineering documents.
- Develop PLC and SCADA applications using Siemens STEP 7 PCS 7 and WinCC.
- Configure and troubleshoot communication networks (Profibus Profinet Industrial Ethernet).
- Execute internal testing FAT SAT and site commissioning activities.
- Manage punch lists resolve technical issues and support smooth project handover to the client.
- Work closely with internal and client teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechatronics or Computer Engineering.
- 59 years of proven experience in industrial automation with Siemens S7-400 and PCS 7.
- Strong expertise in Siemens engineering tools (STEP 7 PCS 7 WinCC).
- Solid understanding of process automation control systems and instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Valid Qatar driving licence is an advantage.
