We are recruiting on behalf of a high-performing Grammar School near Reading Station that is widely recognised for academic success exceptional behaviour and a thriving school community. The Role
The Science Technician is central to the smooth running of a busy and ambitious department. You will work closely with teaching staff to prepare engaging practical lessons while ensuring the highest standards of safety organisation and presentation.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing materials chemicals and equipment for lessons across Biology Chemistry and Physics
Maintaining laboratories prep rooms and storage areas to an excellent standard
Supporting demonstrations and occasional practical assistance in lessons
Managing stock ordering and safe storage of resources
Carrying out routine maintenance checking and cleaning of equipment
Ensuring compliance with health & safety and COSHH guidance
Providing technical support for enrichment activities clubs and events
