Whatyouwillbedoing
This role will bebased intheGlasgow (G1) practicalexperience installing maintaining and servicing gas boilers heating systems and heat pumps helping to drive the shift towards low-carbon technologies. Its a great opportunity to learn from experts build practical skills and be part of the future of sustainable heating.
- Assist in the installation maintenance and repair of gas boilers heating systems and heat pumps.
- Work under the supervision of qualified engineers to develop technical expertise
- Develop problem-solving skills and gain practical experience in real-world heating solutions.
- Stay up to date with industry innovations and sustainable heating technologies.
- Learn how to diagnose faults and carry out repairs effectively.
- Follow health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Understand the role of heat pumps electrification and low-carbon technologies in achieving Net Zero.
- Attend college sessions as part of the apprenticeship programme.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
- Provide excellent customer service while working on-site.
Whatwe arelooking for
- Grade C/4 or above in GCSE EnglishScienceMaths and ICT OR Engineering
- Full UK driving licence
- Someone who is keen to learn ask questions and get involved and eager to develop.
- Good written English
- An interest in engineering heating systems and the transition to low-carbon technologies such as heat pumps.
- Good problem-solving skills confidence and strong communication skills.
- Computer literate and know the basics on Microsoft Office
