JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Marys School is seeking a full-time Kindergarten teacher to nurture and inspire our youngest learners in a vibrant and faith-filled school community commencing September 1 2026. Our Kindergarten program lays the foundation for learning through play exploration and faith-based experiences. We are seeking a teacher who brings energy warmth and creativity to early childhood education. If you are a caring and creative early childhood educator who delights in play-based learning and helping children discover the joy of school we would love to hear from you.
Qualifications:
- Practicing Catholic with a deep respect for Catholic teachings and values.
- Certified teacher with experience in early childhood or kindergarten education.
- Ability to engage young children of diverse backgrounds and adapt activities for early learners.
- Strong classroom management organization and collaboration skills.
- Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate play-based lessons and activities for Kindergarten students.
- Create a welcoming classroom environment that fosters social-emotional growth curiosity and a love for learning in young children.
- Collaborate with the other kindergarten teacher primary team and Learning Resource Teachers to support each childs unique developmental needs.

On an on-going basis we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics non-Catholics new education grads and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
