Overview
Responsible for the performance development of employees. Collaborates with patient care/professional and support service departments to identify performance gaps determine the causes and measures the impact of learning and non learning actions that are required to change performance. Learners can include employees patients/families community and the medical staff. Takes a leadership role in planning designing coordinating conducting and evaluating educational/competency validation programs for the unit/hospital which includes orientation employee performance development new policy/procedure development new technology implementation regulatory/accreditation requirements etc.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Anaheim Regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of AHMC and ARMC. The employee shall support Anaheim Regional Medical Centers strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including but not limited to; Customer Service Patients Rights Confidentiality of Information Environment of Care and AHMC initiatives.
Qualifications
Education/Training/Experience Qualifications
Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
Minimum 5 years recent experience as a practitioner of nursing in acute care
One year education experience
BSN required or current enrollment in BSN program
MSN preferred
Licenses/Certifications
Current CA RN license
Current BLS-HCP
BLS Instructor within 6 months
ACLS Instructor within 6 months
PALS instructor within 6 months
