Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily manufacturing engineering support to production including troubleshooting of process quality and equipment issues
- Develop implement and sustain manufacturing processes and standard work for metal fabrication and assembly operations
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation such as process flows PFMEAs control plans work instructions and setup sheets
- Support new product introductions design for manufacturability reviews and feasibility assessments
- Lead or support root cause and corrective action activities to address production and quality issues
- Support sample builds process trials and engineering changes to validate and improve manufacturing processes
- Assist with capacity analysis costing and support of capital equipment projects
- Improve manufacturing layouts material flow ergonomics tooling and fixtures
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support training knowledge transfer and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in manufacturing engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in a manufacturing environment supporting metal fabrication or assembly processes
-Working knowledge of metalworking processes and materials
- Proficiency with CAD software preferably SolidWorks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with punching forming welding tube bending tube expansion and sheet metal fabrication
- Familiarity with PFMEA control plans ERP systems (QAD preferred) and root cause methodologies
- Experience supporting capital equipment projects and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Familiarity with gas combustion products heat exchangers or similar thermal/mechanical systems
