Custodian

Seeking Custodians for Manufacturing Facility in Jefferson City MO.

Overview:

• $17.00/hour-Cleaner
• $19.00/hour-Tugger/Cleaner
• Steel-toe shoes/boots required not provided
• Experience using Tugger preferred

Shifts:

• 1st 6a-2:30p
• 2nd 2p-10:30p
• **Sat. Coverage is on a 4 week monthly rotation. Each Plant employee works once every 4 weeks.
  

Essential Janitorial Duties and Responsibilities:

General Cleaning - Restrooms Break Rooms Conference Rooms etc. This is a PHYSICALLY DEMANDING position. It entails A LOT of walking (miles a day) and includes emptying trashes (heavy lifting) and cleaning outside areas (make sure to bring coat): Yard area guard shack smoke area etc.

While janitorial is a good part of the services we offer we also handle various other tasks. Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Removing and Bailing Cardboard
• Moving and stacking Pallets
• Floor cleaning
• Fork truck operation

Qualifications:;

• Previous experience in a janitor custodian cleaner or housekeeping position preferred
• Frequent lifting carrying pushing or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Experience using a Tugger
• Must have reliable transportation

• Responsible for all basic cleaning
• Primary duties will pertain to baling cardboard and general warehouse cleaning
• Collect garbage bins from warehouse floor empty and return
• Break down cardboard for recycling.
• Must know how to drive will be trained on driving a golf cart for trash collecting
• Additional duties may include working in a warehouse environment and use of baler or other warehouse equipment
• This role can be labor intensive and requires physical heavy lifting
• Ideal candidate should be physically fit and have strong upper body strength for moving large carts of cardboard
• Maintain the work area keep equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
• Work in a safe manner in compliance with all company state federal policies
• Cleaning of restrooms includes restocking toilet tissue and other dispensers emptying trash clean and sanitize fixtures clean mirrors spot clean partition doors and walls sweep and mop tile floors and clean toilets and urinals
• Move furniture vacuum reposition furniture empty trash and replace liners
• Check all trash containers prior to moving it
• Cleaning includes dust mopping damp mopping sweeping vacuuming gum removal dusting picking up larger objects off the floor and spot cleaning glass
• Performs additional duties as required including attending to flooded areas incidental spills and related clean-up work for trash and restroom concerns
• Restock carts and closets at the end of each shift
