Position Summary:
The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of capital projects assuming a leadership role in technology transfer initiatives and continuous improvement initiatives for the performance process capability and reliability of the plants processing systems and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead continuous improvement efforts regarding processes that drive business performance in key performance indicators for the facility (e.g. asset utilization operational efficiency) while meeting quality Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) FDA and safety performance expectations.
- Responsible for maintaining effective KPIs (batch cycle time unplanned downtime (UPDT) related to cleaning and sanitizing (C&S)) supporting factory performance and reliability (FP&R) standards production planning (EMO and PV coordinated with planning) and leading conversion improvements in the areas of reliability waste/AML product quality safety and cost per ton.
- Actively lead new formulations and EMOs packaging launches etc. within the Colgate Home Care category.
- Lead Product Qualification (PQ) validations for the installation of new equipment or the implementation of new processes.
- Actively lead the site cleaning and sanitizing program (standard and improvement opportunities).
- Responsible for ensuring that production meets micro-launch specifications; use of validated and documented changeover cleaning and sanitizing procedures. Participates in the execution and monitoring of Micro Vulnerability Assessment activities.
- Responsible for ensuring that appropriate technology transfer has occurred for the transfer of new formulas processes packages and equipment; acceptance criteria have been defined and met for all technology transfers and production capability has been demonstrated.
- Actively interacts with vendors suppliers marketing sales engineering and R&D teams to drive and improve equipment performance and/or the quality of operational supplies/services.
- Responsible for making decisions regarding out-of-specification raw materials packaging materials work in progress (WIP) and finished products.
- Responsible for ensuring that personnel are trained and fully understand cleaning disinfection and batch-to-batch procedures; SOPs are defined for equipment operation setup and changeovers; cleaning and disinfection records are maintained; data is provided to support preventive maintenance programs; and procedures are followed. programs.
- Responsible for ensuring that changes to the process formula packaging specifications equipment online procedures etc. are documented.
- Production personnel are trained and fully understand deviations and out-of-specification SOPs. Determine and document the root causes of nonconformities. Review site KPIs monthly to drive improvement.
- Establish annual site KPI targets and develop improvement plans to achieve them.
- Monitor the results of corrective/preventive action implementation plans at least once a month.
- Follow quality and EOH standards storage and use of materials for EMO and process validations.
- Define and implement a process capability improvement plan.
- Identify all critical process parameters and finished product variables.
- Establish annual site process capability goals and review the results monthly.
- Use process capability measures as criteria for successful transfers. of technology.
- Responsible for ensuring that specifications are established for process control variables including tolerances; a calibration program has been established all equipment requiring calibration has been identified and calibration schedules have been met; standardmanufacturing operating procedures are readily available and reflect current practice; out-of-control points are corrected and documented; and operations personnel are trained fully understand and adhere to change procedures.
- Support EOHS Quality and Growth Financing initiatives that will drive TRR and LWD rates.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering Automation Engineering or a related field
- 3 Years of experience in manufacturing production processes
- Intermediate level of English
- SAP Experience
