DESCRIPTION:
The process engineer provides technical support for the injection molding operations as well
as advice on current products and new product development. Able to interact with
different functional teams solve product and process problems and apply continuous
improvement principles in projects.
He is responsible for the development and innovation of new ideas products processes materials and all the necessary tools specific to the injection molding industry.
He is technically proficient and is capable of delivering all projects within his disci-
pline. Able to create connections with marketing sales customer service and other
areas as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience or Bachelors Degree plus 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in regulated industries (pharmaceutical medical device or similar)
- 3 years with injection molding. - Experience in project management.
- Knowledge in scientific molding. - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Kaizen Kan-ban tools PPI ISO 90001 and ISO 13485. - Knowledge in SPC / Minitab. - TOOLS / EQUIPMENT THAT OPERATES: computer measuring in-struments Autocad and Visio.
Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Chemical Industrial or related field)
Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications beneficial
Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
Strong knowledge of GMP ISO standards and regulatory requirements
Expertise in process validation equipment qualification and change control management
Proficient in statistical analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with automation systems PLCs and manufacturing control systems
Strong project management skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
Experience with CAD software and manufacturing documentation systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment
Experience supporting engineers and technicians
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and relevant engineering software
Ability to travel up to 20% as needed
Must be able to work in cleanroom environments when required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with risk assessment methodologies and root cause analysis
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools
