Job Summary

FACE Lead Recreation Counselor FACE Lead Recreation Counselors work under the guidance of FACE Recreation Directors to support the daily objectives of the FACE Little Rec Summer Rec and Teen Extreme Programs. Programs will be operational Monday July 6 2026-Friday August 14 2026 with a mandatory training scheduled on Thursday June 25th. FACE Lead Recreation Counselors must be available for all summer sessions. Additional training and program preparation hours will be scheduled in May and June. Candidates must demonstrate leadership confidence and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills the ability to multi-task and collaborate with colleagues is required. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to foster and guide the growth and development of Recreation Counselors and Mentors. Candidates will be responsible for the safety and positive experience of all participants. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Directly support Program Directors and FACE Team - Serve as a liaison to the FACE Social Media Coordinators - Support the FACE Mentor Program- Actively participate in daily operations including attendance & dismissal station set up and break down snack/lunch oversight implementation of activities student transitions and program preparation.- Work with specific grade levels to assist counselors mentors and students - Cultivate a positive environment for students families and colleagues while developing and maintaining professional working relationships- Demonstrate professional and responsible behavior- Promote a safe and healthy environment by implementing program standards and best practices to ensure the well being of all students - Maintain confidentiality of student and/or family information - Awareness of student allergies and/or medical needs - Guide student behavior through appropriate modeling and behavior management techniques supporting the social emotional needs of all students- Demonstrates professional and respectful communication - Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member - Participation in daily and weekly team meetings - Participate in staff trainings as listed below Medical Training (First Aid): Wednesday May 27th 6:30PM - 9:00PM Medical Training (CPR/EpiPen): Wednesday June 3rd 6:30PM - 9:00PM All Staff Training (Mandatory): Thursday June 25th 8:00AM - 4:00PMPerform other assignments as needed
