Job Summary

In the role of Equipment Test Technician you will be a vital contributor to our laboratory operations supporting the development testing and optimization of our products. Based at Rotex HQ in Cincinnati OH you will have a direct impact on ensuring our offerings meet customer expectations and uphold our commitment to quality and innovation. Work Youll Do

  • Support the Lab Supervisor in daily laboratory operations ensuring efficient accurate testing and reporting processes.

  • Conduct screening tests on material samples following established protocols to facilitate the sales and service of Rotex equipment.

  • Collaborate with application staff to select suitable equipment solutions aligned with customer needs.

  • Assist in identifying new product and market opportunities through lab testing and customer engagement.

  • Support product development activities by participating in R&D testing idea generation and providing design and drawing support as needed.

  • Maintain a safe clean and organized lab environment ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

  • Provide backup support to application staff answering questions related to laboratory testing procedures and results.

  • Organize and file laboratory reports samples and related documentation in accordance with company procedures.

  • Generate comprehensive report summaries and monitor lab activity to ensure smooth operations.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams sales representatives and customers.

  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements and participate in continuous enhancement activities.

  • Support the technical capabilities of the product development team and assist in training Rotex personnel and sales teams.

  • Travel as needed to customer sites alongside Product Development Engineers and Application Engineers to support testing and solution implementation.

  • Analyze market data for test samples explore new data presentation methods and identify opportunities to enhance customer reporting.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the laboratory and company.

Team:

  • You will work as part of a dedicated technical team committed to product excellence and customer satisfaction. This role engages closely with application specialists product development engineers and sales teams contributing to a collaborative environment focused on innovation quality and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma combined with 1-2 years laboratory manufacturing quality testing experience or similar.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to laboratory work.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or testing laboratory environment preferably within industrial or equipment manufacturing sectors.

  • Familiarity with lean processes and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Basic knowledge of product development processes and R&D testing.

  • Familiarity with environmental health and safety standards applicable to laboratory environments.

  • Willingness to travel less than 5% for customer visits and support activities.
