Job Summary

Reedsport Bandon Coquille Myrtle Point and North Bend are all locations by Bay Area Hospital that would have options for housing with a 30 or so minute commute in. Again there s no traffic and would be a very scenic commute!

Hourly Pay Rate: $37.72 - $55.98/hour (This is a union position rate will be decided on years of experience and non-negotiable)

Polysomnographic Technologist Reg

Performs polysomnographic tests (PSGs) multiple sleep latency tests (MSLTs) and maintenance of wakefulness tests (MWTs) as ordered by physician.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Reads writes legibly converses effectively in the English language
Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and software programs applicable to the position e.g. electronic documentation programs
Maintains regular consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to stand walk bend squat reach and stretch frequently
Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs
Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity including adequate color vision
Requires fine motor skills adequate eye-hand coordination and ability to grasp and handle objects
Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating transferring in and out of bed chair or wheelchair
May be required to lift up to 75 pounds
Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids
Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading writing and speaking in person or on telephone
May require periodic use of personal computer

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES

Registered as a polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) REQUIRED

EXPERIENCE

At least two years experience as a sleep technician in a hospital sleep lab REQUIRED
At least one or more years of experience as a respiratory therapist with an RPSGT or SDS in an acute hospital setting. REQUIRED

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

BLS
ARRT
