About the Role:
- We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design build and operate scalable secure and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS. This role will be responsible for enabling CI/CD pipelines automating infrastructure and application deployments improving system observability and supporting modern containerized workloads.
- You will work closely with software engineers SREs security and platform teams to ensure fast reliable and secure delivery of applications into production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and automated deployments across multiple environments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform CloudFormation or similar.
- Build automation using Python and scripting to improve reliability reduce manual effort and optimize operational workflows.
- Implement and maintain containerized platforms using Docker and Kubernetes (or ECS/EKS).
- Design and support deployment strategies including blue-green deployments canary releases and rolling updates.
- Implement observability solutions using OpenTelemetry (OTel) and monitoring platforms such as Splunk and New Relic to ensure system health performance and reliability.
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure including networking compute storage and security components.
- Define and enforce Git branching strategies and DevOps best practices across development teams.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve build reliability test automation and release processes.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide production support troubleshooting complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Ensure security best practices cost optimization and compliance standards are followed across environments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7 years of experience in DevOps Cloud Engineering or Platform Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (mandatory)
- Proficiency in Python for automation and tooling
- Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions GitLab CI Jenkins etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Terraform CloudFormation or similar
- Experience with containers and orchestration Docker Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
- Strong understanding of Git branching strategies and source control workflows
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as OpenTelemetry (OTel) Splunk New Relic
- Solid understanding of deployment strategies: blue-green canary rolling deployments
- Experience designing highly available fault-tolerant cloud systems
- Strong troubleshooting and production support experience
