Job Summary
Job Title: IT Healthcare Consultant - Project Manager - Project Lead (Hybrid)
Location: Columbia SC
Duration: 12 Months
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will serve as a Product Owner for one or more components of the MES Core. The duties and responsibilities are typical for an agile Product Owner:
- Describe the product in terms of capabilities
- Slice capabilities into incremental deliverables (epics/features and stories)
- Create and prioritize the product backlog
- Document epics and stories with clear descriptions including acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with development teams to refine and size stories
- Participate in team ceremonies and provide continuous product guidance to team members
- Sign off on stories that have met acceptance criteria
- Serve as liaison between the MES Core team and external stakeholders
- Assist production support team with troubleshooting and resolution of incidents
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 5 years working with state Medicaid systems
- 3 years as a Project Manager or similar role
- 2 years working with systems integration data exchange and/or data transformations
- 1 year working on large IT projects
- 5 years familiarity with X12 Electronic Data Interfaces (EDI) and Application Program Interfaces (API)
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- 5 years ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written forms with all levels of the Agency
PREFERRED SKILLS
- 3 years of Agile Product Owner skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- Project Management certification (preferred)
