Title: Release Train Engineer
Location: Reston VA
Hybrid- 3 days a week onsite
Job Description
- Champion Lean-Agile principles and practices across the ART ensuring alignment with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Guide teams in adopting agile methodologies such as Scrum Kanban and XP promoting consistent iteration and continuous value delivery.
- Facilitate the development and execution of Program Increments (PIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and facilitate major ART ceremonies including PI Planning system demos Scrum of Scrums and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
- Coordinate cross-team efforts ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and enabling smooth flow of information across participants.
- Manage interdependencies across teams and remove impediments to foster seamless collaboration.
- Identify and track risks impediments and dependencies that may affect ART progress.
- Collaborate with teams to resolve issues or escalate concerns to leadership when needed.
- Use critical thinking to navigate complex problems and maintain ART momentum.
- Act as an Agile coach for teams and stakeholders simplifying complex Lean-Agile concepts and promoting best practices.
- Communicate PI objectives progress updates risks and key milestones to ART stakeholders.
- Interpret data to identify improvement opportunities and enable data-driven decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with SAFe Lean and Agile frameworks.
- Strong facilitation coordination and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage risks resolve conflicts and guide multiple teams toward common objectives.
- Experience coaching and mentoring Agile teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and problem solving abilities.
- SAFe RTE certification preferred (or relevant SAFe certifications).
