Job Summary
Job Title: Panel Designer
Location of role: St. Louis Mo. Full time Direct Hire
Salary: Market Rate for this role Depending on experience DOE
We are seeking a Panel Designer experienced in industrial control panel design and UL 508 standards.
This role owns electrical schematics panel layouts and bill of materials development aligned with engineering intent and procurement timing.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed electrical schematics and panel layouts
Ensure compliance with UL 508 standards
Design panels with proper isolation of 480v power 24v control and networking components
Define PLC types card counts VFD quantities power supplies and associated components
Produce complete and accurate bills of material
Trigger procurement for long-lead components once engineering baseline is defined
Coordinate closely with controls engineering Communicate workload and risk early
Support multiple panel builders with build-ready documentation
Technical Requirements:
Working knowledge of UL 508
Industrial control panel design experience
Strong schematic development capability
Understanding of industrial power distribution and control architecture
