A large full-service acute care hospital in the Kansas City metropolitan area is seeking a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join its inpatient nursing team. The organization offers a wide range of specialty services and operates as part of a multi-hospital healthcare system recognized for quality outcomes and patient-centered care.
The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse provides compassionate high-quality nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical surgical cardiac and neurological conditions.
This unit supports general medicine urology vascular neurology orthopedics and nephrology patients. As part of a Level I Trauma facility the unit cares for stable but higher-acuity Med-Surg patients offering a strong clinical learning environment and opportunities for skill expansion including cardiac monitoring.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments in accordance with standards of care and disease-specific protocols
Develop implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Provide direct patient care and supervise non-licensed nursing personnel
Deliver age-appropriate education and emotional support to patients and families
Integrate patient and family education into all aspects of care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Unit Size: 49 beds

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 6:1
Minimum 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required
(Experience does not need to be recent)
ADN or BSN required
Active Missouri RN license or compact RN license
BLS certification required upon hire
