Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)in thePediatric Cardiology Clinicfunctions as an assistant in the examination and treatment of patients under Physician/Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner supervision in the ambulatory service clinical setting.

The Pediatric Cardiology Clinic provides care and treatment to patients spanning from birth through adulthood. We support the care of patients with a variety of cardiac disorders such as hypertension congenital heart defects fetal cardiology cardiomyopathy and transplant. The CMAs are responsible for patient intake and rooming medication review EKGs Holter monitor placement and phlebotomy.

Shifts:8 hour shifts Monday-Friday; no weekends

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completionof an accredited Medical Assistant training program required
  • Completion of CMA certification with the credentials ofRMA NCMA NRCMA CCMA or CMAArequiredprior to hire
  • Valid CPR certification required upon hire
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of CMA experience

Salary Range: Minimum $18.09hour - Maximum $29.87/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
