Job Summary

Join Payscale as a QA Engineer II and help shape the future of our products through quality and innovation. Were looking for a proactive detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with the latest technologies to deliver outstanding results.

What Youll Do

• Review and analyze new feature requirements and design specifications

• Collaborate closely with the development team to define testing strategies for various components

• Develop and execute comprehensive functional test plans and test cases

• Create test coverage reports and other quality-related documentation

• Perform project and defect tracking using standard tools and processes

• Drive and enforce QA best practices and continuous process improvements

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant work experience

• 2 years of experience in a software Quality Assurance role

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium

• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Experience using issue/project tracking tools such as JIRA

• Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test case management systems (e.g. TestRail Zephyr)

• Experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools

• Ability to support maintain and execute automated functional tests

Nice to Have

• Basic programming skills with one of the following: C# Java Python or JavaScript/TypeScript

• Experience with AI tooling to aid in test case generation and developing automated tests (OpenAI GitHub Copilot etc.)

• SQL skills (e.g. PostgreSQL MSSQL)

• Familiarity with automation testing frameworks (Selenium Playwright)

When you work from home we recommend ensuring that you can meet the following technology equipment and workspace requirements:

• High-Speed Internet - A stable broadband or fiber connection (satellite is highly discouraged) with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps in a dedicated workspace that has a reliable Wi-Fi signal.
