Job Title: Transportation / Van Aide (Special Education)District: MSAD 53Location: Pittsfield MainePosition Type: Part-TimeMSAD 53 is seeking a dependable and student-centered Transportation / Van Aide to support a special education student traveling to and from an out-of-district placement each school Overview:The Transportation / Van Aide will ride in a district vehicle with a special education student providing supervision and support to ensure safe and appropriate transportation to and from :Morning: 6:45 a.m. 9:00 : 1:00 p.m. 3:15 : 4.5 hours per dayKey Responsibilities:Supervise and support a special education student during transportationEnsure student safety at all times while riding in the vehicleFollow established transportation and behavior support plansCommunicate concerns or incidents promptly with school administrationMaintain confidentiality and professionalism at all timesQualifications:Experience working with children preferably students with disabilities is strongly preferredAbility to remain calm patient and supportive in a transportation settingDependable attendance and punctuality are essentialAbility to follow district policies and student-specific plansMust meet MSAD 53 employment requirements including background checksCompensation:Hourly rate commensurate with experience and per the applicable collective bargaining agreementApplication Process:Support Staff Application can be found on our website or by calling .MSAD 53 is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
