The Principal Materials Coordinator - SRO coordinates the availability accuracy and timely execution of materials to support service operations and delivery. This position plays a critical role in minimizing customer downtime supporting technicians and optimizing inventory to meet service delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Order Management
Create and manage purchase orders to vendors factory direct or 3rd party repair accordingly to support supply and demand planning requirements
Use kanban/pull-system signals to trigger replenishment and avoid shortages of critical service components
Create factory direct orders for FG service pool replenishment per supply plan
Align vendor or factory delivery dates to service demand needs
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors or factories to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply interruptions
Collaborate closely with Buyers and Supply or Demand Planners to ensure material availability and execution of supply plan
Track shipments and resolve delivery issues impacting demand schedules.
Inventory & Supply
Oversee accuracy of direct and indirect parts inventory/supplies to ensure availability for scheduling
Create/dispatch internal SR/repair jobs for safety stock service pool inventory needs
Create/dispatch internal supply jobs for refurb components to meet supply and demand planning requirements
Monitor and evaluate Kanban/pull system parts and stocking levels for optimization
Conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in ERP systems.
Service Operations Support
Collaborate with Demand/Supply Planning to forecast material needs or changes
Ensure materials meet quality standards before deployment.
Required Qualifications:
1-3 years knowledge in supply chain operations materials/procurement or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of ERP systems required (i.e. SAP Oracle etc.).
Proficient in data management and analysis using Excel Power BI or similar
Experience managing parts inventory or returns preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate across departments.
