A ContentLiaison provides leadership and expertise to building level administration and staff to improve student learning in the specified content area. The Content Liaison organizes and facilitates professional learning and leads curriculum development. Liaisons perform their regular duties to assigned school(s) and/or programs and provide timely communication to the administration and staff in all schools as well as partake in collaborative opportunities with division instructional leadership. They function as an integral member of the Teaching and Learning team to build instructional capacity and sustainability with administration and staff across the school division.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Office of Teaching and Learning (and Content Specialist as appropriate) and school level administration staff and teachers.
- Develops multidisciplinary curricula with emphasis on the 4Es.
- Provides leadership and support to teachers and staff to increase their content knowledge and instructional delivery..
- Collaborates with instructional coaches teachers and administrators to ensure that the written taught and assessed curriculum is implemented with fidelity through the professional learning communities process.
- Supports the review process and implementation of curriculum materials.
- Develops facilitates and presents ongoing professional learning opportunities.
- Analyzes student data and uses the results to design and support appropriate intervention and enrichment strategies.
- In collaboration with the Content Specialists attends content specific state meetings participates in professional learning opportunities and disseminates information to staff.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates knowledge of the content area.
- Demonstrates experience in curriculum and assessment design process.
- Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain positive collaborative working relationships with staff students administration and community.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of instructional pedagogy for all learners.
- Demonstrates knowledge of balanced assessment practices and data analysis.
- Possesses excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Holds teacher licensure masters degree preferred in education or specified content area.
Experience Preferred:Five (5) years of successful full-time classroom teaching experience in the level of assignment.
Salary:This is a stipend positioncompensated at $3000 plus 10 professional leave days dedicated to liaison duties.
