Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Electrical Engineer is to be a leader in safety while supporting operations and showing engineering excellence. They will provide division-wide technical expertise assist with long term capital planning provide project leadership and planning coordinate preventative maintenance measures and will be vital to the advancement of Nucors Maintenance strategy:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience in the electrical power field
Must be willing to work weekends holidays and rotating shifts scheduled and unscheduled overtime

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in industrial electrical engineering.
Experience with melting casting or long product rolling.
Electric Arc Furnace regulation.
Familiarity with NFPA 70E-Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
Experience with Capital expenditures budgets and implementation
Experience interpreting technical drawings and design specifications
