Position Overview

Fusion HCR is seeking a Developer with deep backend expertise to design and build scalable high-performance systems supporting enterprise sportsbook and gaming platforms.

This is a senior-level engineering role requiring strong hands-on experience with distributed systems containerized environments API development event-driven architectures and SQL Server. The ideal candidate has experience building resilient transaction-heavy systems in regulated environments and understands how to design services that scale.

This is not a junior or mid-level role we are seeking engineers who can architect build and own critical backend components.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect design and develop scalable backend systems using C# and (.NET 6/7/8)

• Build robust RESTful APIs and service-based architectures

• Design and implement event-driven systems using message brokers (Kafka RabbitMQ Azure Service Bus etc.)

• Develop and maintain microservices running in containerized environments (Docker Kubernetes)

• Write clean maintainable testable code following SOLID principles and domain-driven design concepts

• Optimize and tune SQL Server databases stored procedures indexing strategies and performance

• Build systems that support high-volume real-time transaction processing

• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines deployments and production support

• Participate in architectural discussions and mentor other developers

• Support secure coding practices in a highly regulated gaming environment

Required Qualifications

• 7 years of professional software development experience

• Deep hands-on expertise in C#

• Strong experience designing and building APIs and distributed systems

• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)

• Experience implementing message brokers and event-driven architectures

• Strong SQL Server experience including performance tuning and query optimization

• Experience working in high-availability transaction-heavy systems

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture patterns

• Experience with Git and modern development workflows

• Ability to work onsite in Las Vegas

Highly Preferred

• Sportsbook or real-time wagering platform experience

• Experience with Blazor (Server or WebAssembly)

• Experience with MAUI (cross-platform UI development)

• Azure cloud or hybrid-cloud experience

• Experience in regulated industries (gaming finance healthcare)

• Automated testing (unit/integration) and CI/CD pipeline experience
