Scientist – Bioanalytical LC-MSMS

ABOUT YOU

This role is ideal for an experienced bioanalytical LC-MS/MS scientist who enjoys working independently applying technical expertise to complex quantitative analysis and collaborating closely with colleagues and clients.

You will bring strong technical capability confidence in method development and validation and the ability to communicate clearly on both scientific and commercial matters.

Required skills and experience:

• BSc MSc or PhD in Chemistry Biology or a related scientific discipline
• In-depth knowledge of LC-MS/MS with 5 years experience supporting pre-clinical and clinical bioanalysis
• Proven experience in quantitative LC-MS/MS method development and validation
• Practical understanding of the requirements of Pharmacokinetic (PK) analysis and ICH M10 Bioanalytical Method validation guidance
• Experience working in a GxP-regulated laboratory with a strong understanding of GMP GLP and GCP
• Practical experience extracting small and/or large molecules from biological matrices (e.g. plasma serum urine)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously and apply scientific literature where required
• Good IT numeracy and data interpretation skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with confidence engaging directly with clients
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet delivery timelines

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You will work as an independent member of the Bioanalytical LC-MS/MS team delivering high-quality quantitative bioanalytical services to pharmaceutical and bioanalytical clients.

The role involves working across projects of varying scale scope and complexity with opportunities to apply specialist knowledge develop new techniques and contribute to both technical delivery and commercial success.

Key activities:

• Perform independent quantitative LC-MS/MS method development and validation with minimal supervision
• Plan execute and interpret bioanalytical work generating high-quality data and reports
• Deliver analytical services in accordance with GMP GLP and GCP standards
• Ensure studies meet quality regulatory and client expectations across clinical phases
• Troubleshoot complex bioanalytical challenges and develop fit-for-purpose solutions
• Communicate confidently with clients on technical requirements results and analytical strategies
• Support Business Development through technical input into quotations and project planning
• Demonstrate commercial awareness when planning and delivering analytical work
• Support the training and mentoring of junior colleagues
• Collaborate proactively with colleagues across teams to ensure efficient project delivery
• All work will be carried out in accordance with Intertek procedures regulatory standards and safety requirements.
