Core Responsibilities
In this role you will support standardization of new packing platforms and continuous improvement of current equipment. You will provide technical guidance for development design and construction of equipment in collaboration with suppliers. More over you will:
Support technical capability building and the adoption of new technologies within existing processing platforms
Design develop and test new equipment in line with current standards and guidelines
Provide mechanical engineering recommendations to support technical project execution
Ensure new equipment meets key performance requirements including safety quality stability output and cost
Contribute to the implementation of future global manufacturing setups including potential new factory projects
This is a fixed-term (2 years) opportunity located in our Kladno manufacturing site and there is no relocation assistance offered for this role.

Our Engineering & Workplace organization plays a crucial role in the LEGO organizations success by ensuring the design development and optimization of equipment and systems. It focuses on standardizing new equipment and improving existing ones which enhances operational efficiency and product quality. By collaborating with suppliers and integrating new technologies the department drives innovation and maintains compliance with industry standards supporting the organizations strategic goals.
Do you have what it takes
Background in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Mechatronic Automation Robotics Electronics).
Understanding of mechanical design principles and knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity of electrical design basics.
Willingness to contribute and to learn around platforms development and their design
Experience with CAD tools (NX AutoCAD) and an interest in learning more
Good organizational and communication skills plus a willingness to travel a few (2-6) weeks per year
What would be an advantage:
Familiarity with project management principles to assist in planning and execution
Familiarity with industry standards (ISO EHS) and project basics is helpful but not required
Strong analytical skills for performing calculations and simulations of production processes
Knowledge of advanced manufacturing Lean/Six Sigma or sustainability practices
Comfort working in multicultural environments and learning new technologies
