The F5 AI Security team is seeking aUX Designerfor our AI Red Team and AI Guardrails products. You will be embedded in a cross-functional teamworking with product management engineering data science and QAto ensure a coherentconsistent and usableexperience across our product suiteand that users canaccomplishtasks quickly and confidently. As a systems thinker withexpertisein technicalenterpriseapplications you will align design execution with product strategy user expectations and businessobjectives.Werelooking for a designer who deeply understands their craftand has a high bar for qualitylikes to work fast enjoys being autonomous and proactive andcan find a path forward in undefined problem spaces.
KeyResponsibilities
End-to-enddesign:Design large-scale features complex workflows and data visualizations for theAI security suite.
Enterprise UX:Be the teams subject matter expert on enterprise UX understanding how todesign foredge cases for integration with other workflows and systems for decision support and information scent and the tradeoff between power and ease of use.
Cross-functionalcollaboration:Partner with PMs developersdata scienceand stakeholders to define requirements leadfeaturekickoffsandconduct peer reviews/workshops.
Uservalidation:Conduct regular lightweight usability testing and user feedback sessions toiterate onprototypes and improve existing features.
Systemmaintenance:Contribute to andmaintainthe Figma design system to ensure visual and functional consistency.
Productstewardship:Proactively track UX debtdogfood the productmanage the design backlog andmaintaina holistic view of cross-product workflows and terminology.
Strategicvision:Contribute to the long-term UX vision androadmap.
Pitching in:Otherrelated duties asneeded such asassistingwith release notes and documentation product demos projectmanagement.
What you bring
Designleadership:Proven ability to lead the design processand stay level-headed during uncertaintywith the ability to change perspectives reframe problems and help teams stay focused when priorities shift.
Problemsolving:Skilled at solving complex design problems and rapidly illustrating ideas for technical applications.
Execution:Strong interactionand visual design skills with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles as theyapply toproductivity tools.
Adaptability:Ability to work independently manage multiple project timelines andmanagetrade-offs to achieve both speed and quality.
Communication:Strong communicationskills including the ability to be candid and respectful in difficult conversations to write concisely andclear and adjust communication style to the situation.
Collaboration:Ability to build effective and mutually respectful relationships with cross-functional teammates.
Autonomy:A working stylethatsself-directed and proactive rarelyneedingoutside approval to dowhatsnecessary for good UX.
Qualifications
6 years of UX experience in an enterprise or startup setting.
Enterprise UX design experience for SaaS and B2B products.
Expert-level knowledge of Figma and facility using common ticketing products and whiteboarding tools.
Experience working incross-functionaldual-track agileproduct team.
Deepunderstanding ofobject-oriented designinteractiondesign andvisualdesign principles.
