This role supports customers and field technicians with controls-related issues across HVAC systems providing troubleshooting diagnostics performance optimization and control logic analysis. You will be a key technical resource ensuring system reliability and customer successful candidates responsibilities will include:Provide technical controls support via phone email and site visitsTroubleshoot HVAC control systems: sensors actuators PLC/DDC controllers and networksAnalyze and modify control logic to resolve issues and improve performanceSupport commissioning re-commissioning and system performance tuningAssist with BMS integration and communication troubleshooting (BACnet Modbus LONtalk IP protocols)Review sequences of operation and verify field implementationDocument findings corrective actions and software revisionsCollaborate with Engineering and Product Development on recurring issuesSupport warranty investigations and provide technical training to service personnelThe ideal candidate for this position will have: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or related field or Technical Diploma in Electrical/Computer/Instrumentation Engineering3 years of controls engineering experience (HVAC or building automation preferred)Proficient in IEC 61131-3 PLC programming (e.g. Carel Schneider)Experience with BACnet Modbus LONtalk and IP-based protocolsExperience in HVAC control system design and sequence development is with VFD integration and tuning is of HVAC systems sensors and control strategiesAbility to read electrical schematics and panel layoutsFamiliarity with UL CSA and safety standardsStrong troubleshooting communication and collaboration skillsValid drivers license and passport; willingness to travel within Canada/US (510%)Should this excellent opportunity interest you please submit your resume including salary Limited hires on the basis of merit and is strongly committed to equity and diversity.
