- Equipment Cleaner positions begin at $27.00.
- Annual Bonus opportunity (FOIP) up to 3.5% of annual earnings
Work Schedule:
Weekly Rotating Shifts for Production Employees Monday through Friday. Shift start time depends on the department but weekly rotations begin on 3rd 2nd and then 1st shift.
The core shift of this position is Friday from 14:00 22:00. Any potential candidates would need to be available for this shift.

Job Overview:
At our New Ulm location we make processed cheese. The work here is fast paced and we reward hard work and strong performance. Equipment Cleaners are responsible for the safe and efficient dismantling cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment in a given area. This person will work closely with and follow direction of the Sanitation Line Operator in the department as well as working in a team environment to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of each production line. Work is moderately varied and requires an awareness of quality and safety. Must know and follow all GMPs and sanitation practices. Employee will be responsible for learning how to dismantle clean sanitize lubricate and reassemble all equipment.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Responsible for the safe and proper operation of all equipment in designated area which may include lifts for cleaning overheads or operating forklifts.
- Work also includes being on ladders and using proper fall protection and safety checks.
- Performing Good Sanitation Practices (GSPs) when handling equipment.
- Practice Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Perform all required observations and training timely and as scheduled.
- Perform tasks with limited supervision.
- Work requires simple math skills such as addition and subtraction.
- Upgrade to higher skilled jobs within the production department.
- Document HACCP details.
- Provide accurate and consistent feedback to department supervisor.
- Consistently communicate with department co-workers on current tasks.
- Perform sanitation duties for production equipment as needed and period sanitation work as assigned.
- Proper knowledge handling and usage of cleaning chemicals.
- Develop strong lines of communication with other departments to ensure plant-wide efficiency.
- Other duties may be required and assigned as needed.
- Responsible for knowing and following all GMPs.
- Must be able to lift moderate weight.
- Follow all Safety Rules use LO/TO when necessary wear all appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED Preferred.
- Previous Manufacturing Experience Preferred.
- Seeking individuals who work well with teams are goal oriented and enjoy satisfaction in performing a job well done.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently with or without reasonable accommodations.
