A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include:

  • MBBS / MD/ DM/ BDS/ MDS

  • Mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices typically obtained through advanced education and experience. Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrating extensive knowledge of all clinical and scientific data for Medtronic products and maintaining a deep understanding of the science behind them.

  • Providing advanced subject matter expertise and medical input to various functions (General Management Global Strategy & Portfolio Management Business Development & Licensing Research & Development & Marketing) to facilitate decision-making and enable achievement of business objectives.

  • Building and nurturing deep collegial relationships with key thought leaders professional societies and payers.

  • Developing implementing and overseeing integrated evidence-based medical affairs strategic plans for relevant Medtronic organizations.

  • Ensuring effective objective value propositions are developed and articulated for Medtronic technologies to stakeholders (patients health care providers payers government agencies health technology assessment organizations public) through appropriate channels.

  • Driving the adoption of tools and techniques for the safe and effective use of products.

  • Communicating product-related information to investigators institutions and key stakeholders including medical groups government agencies and health systems.

  • Providing perspective to field activities associated with growing existing products and bringing new products to market.

  • (MBBS/ MD BDS /MDS Designation only) Licensed Practitioners may bridge communication between sales marketing and clinical teams.

  • Conducting continuing education workshops seminars and programs for graduate physicians pharmacists and scientists.

  • Responding to unsolicited inquiries.
