A 404-bed tertiary care Level II Trauma Center in Central Florida is seeking a skilled Cardiac Electrophysiology Technician to join its Cath/EP Lab team. This teaching hospital is affiliated with an academic medical center and offers a broad spectrum of advanced cardiac trauma and specialty services along with a freestanding emergency department serving the surrounding community.
The Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Technician assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias and peripheral vascular conditions within a high-acuity Cath/EP Lab environment.
This role supports complex cardiac procedures and requires strong technical expertise in electrophysiology and ablation technologies along with a commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.
Assist physicians during EP procedures and cardiac interventions
Support procedures including PTCA stent placement IABP placement EP device implantation and ablations
Operate monitor and maintain EP lab equipment and devices
Monitor patient status throughout procedures and provide direct patient care
Deliver patient-centered education and support
Adhere to hospital policies safety standards and regulatory requirements
Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program
Minimum 2 years of Electrophysiology experience including EP and ablation devices
BLS and ACLS certifications required
One of the following professional credentials required:
Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech)
Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
Acute care experience preferred but not required
Reports to: Director of Cardiac Services
