Job Description Summary
The 1st Shift Operations Leader Fuel Nozzle Repair leads front-line manufacturing operations to ensure safe reliable and efficient production performance. This role is responsible for developing and engaging employees executing daily production plans and driving continuous improvement to meet safety quality delivery and cost objectives. The Team Leader operates with autonomy within established GE Vernova policies standards and lean manufacturing principles.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production activities to meet safety quality delivery and cost targets
- Supervise coach and develop production employees including staffing performance management and engagement
- Plan and coordinate production cell operations to ensure consistent output and schedule adherence
- Drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving tools
- Identify and eliminate waste while improving productivity quality and process flow
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering quality supply chain and support teams
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all EHS requirements
- Foster a One Team environment that encourages communication innovation and accountability
- Adapt to changing business needs while maintaining operational excellence
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant manufacturing experience
Preferred:
- Experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (5S Kaizen Six Sigma)
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and lead change
- Strong communication coaching and team engagement skills
- Growth mindset with a continuous improvement focus
