ABM is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician II to support service operations across Richmond VA. This is a field-based role dispatched from home focused on maintaining troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC systems. This position is ideal for a solid mid-level commercial technician looking to grow with a stable organization. Residential-only experience is not a fit for this role.

Responsibilities

Maintain troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
Perform preventive maintenance and service repairs on customer equipment
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using standard HVAC tools
Work on RTUs split systems and packaged units (light-to-mid tonnage)
Complete service documentation and communicate effectively with customers
Follow safety standards codes and ABM procedures

Qualifications

35 plus years of commercial HVAC experience
Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance background
EPA Universal Certification required
HVAC trade or vocational certification preferred
High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

Packaged units and RTUs up to mid-range tonnage
Exposure to chillers or refrigeration (not required)
Experience working in commercial facilities

Requirements:

Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
Ability to travel throughout the DFW area
Ability to lift equipment and perform physical job duties
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed
Pre-employment background check drug test and MVR required
