The position will work collaboratively with physicians other associate providers and nursing/support staff. Experience is preferred but a new graduate will be considered. The NP/PA should be comfortable seeing adult patients with a wide variety of acute/episodic medical problems and minor injuries. The Hospitalist service takes care of the patient from all areas of primary care including medical screenings for behavioral health.
The Hospitalist group provides hospital medicine coverage including admissions inpatient consultations developing plans for patients medical care and discharging patients. Menomonie will be the primary location for this position. However this is a regional role with expectation that the NP/PA will be available to assist with coverage at other regional locations as needed.
Nurse Practitioner:Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current State WI RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP ANP or ACNP. Acute Care Nurse Practitioner preferred.
Physician Assistant:Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the WI State Board of Medical Practice.
Current DEA BLS & ACLS Certifications required.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong cardiovascular knowledge base involving cardiovascular physiology medications and treatment modalities recommended. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Proficiency in reading writing and communicating in languages clinical assessment skills following current practice standards. Basic computer aptitude.
