Position Overview

Ivy Academy seeks a passionate and student-centered Algebra II Teacher to join our team for the 202627 school year. The ideal candidate will cultivate strong mathematical reasoning problem-solving skills and confidence in students while creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment aligned with the schools mission and instructional philosophy.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Algebra II instruction aligned with Tennessee state standards and school curriculum goals
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and learning styles
• Use data and formative assessments to guide instruction and improve student outcomes
• Maintain a structured positive and student-centered classroom environment
• Provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and interdisciplinary learning
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
• Maintain accurate records for grades attendance and student progress
• Support school culture through participation in meetings events and duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education or related field required
• Valid Tennessee teaching license (or ability to obtain licensure) preferred
• Demonstrated content knowledge in Algebra II and related high school math courses
• Experience teaching high school students preferred
• Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
• Ability to use instructional technology and data to enhance learning
