Web Developer designs codes and maintains websites and web applications ensuring they are functional user-friendly and visually appealing. Responsibilities include writing clean efficient code (HTML CSS JavaScript) for front-end and back-end collaborating with designers optimizing performance and troubleshooting issues. They often work with frameworks (e.g. React PHP) to build test and deploy and they maintain websites and monitor for traffic.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development: Building and maintaining robust scalable websites and web applications.

Coding: Writing clean testable and efficient code using languages like HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript.

Design Implementation: Working with designers to translate wireframes and user experience (UX) designs into functional web pages.

Performance Optimization: Ensuring high performance fast loading speeds and proper handling of user traffic.

Maintenance & Security: Debugging fixing bugs and ensuring website security including regular backups and updates.

Collaboration: Working with stakeholders managers and other developers to define project requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills: Proficiency in front-end (HTML CSS JavaScript Frameworks) and/or back-end technologies (PHP Python SQL).

Problem-Solving: Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Development Tools: Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and content management systems (e.g. WordPress).

Design Awareness: Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design techniques.

Education: A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent experience is often required.
