The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at Queens University in Kingston Ontario Canada is accepting applications for an Academic Anesthesiologist - Clinician Scientist position. Candidates must possess a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada fellowship or equivalent with additional clinical or research fellowship training. Additional research training and/or degree (Masters PhD) is a strong asset. Candidates should have a demonstrated record of or potential for high-quality research commensurate with their career stage. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a strong externally funded research program. The candidate would also be active in developing collaborations. Candidates must also be eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The position would consist of a mix of clinical anesthesiology teaching and a heavy emphasis on research.

Qualified applicants will hold an MD degree (or equivalent). The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of high-quality research output and will exhibit strong potential for innovative and scholarly research. The candidate will display evidence of being able to lead independent research. Protected time and appropriate resources are available to those who establish a significant research program. Applicants must demonstrate strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions as well as evidence of an ability to work in an interdisciplinary collaborative environment.
