Our team in Stockholm is looking to strengthen the team with a top talent interested in a career in M&A. The internship provides a unique opportunity to work in an international M&A team while gaining valuable experience in investment banking.The internship lasts approximately four months with the potential for an extension or a full-time offer based on performance. This is a full-time off-cycle internship for the fall 2026 or spring 2027 designed for candidates who have completed or are taking a break from their studies.
Deal Support: Support the team throughout the entire M&A process with a primary focus on preparing marketing materials financial factbooks market analyses and long-list compilation
Pitch & Marketing Materials: Prepare pitch books teasers confidential information memoranda (CIMs) and management presentations for buy-side and sell-side mandates
Financial Analysis & Valuation: Support the building of financial models (DCF comps precedent transactions LBO) and perform sensitivity and valuation analyses
Research & Target Screening: Conduct sector mapping competitive landscaping and target identification to support business development and live mandates
Market Intelligence: Track transaction activity deal multiples and market trends to provide benchmarking and market commentary
Client Interaction: Join client calls management presentations and internal meetings alongside senior bankers and international colleagues across Carlsquares offices
Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to cross-border deal sourcing coordination with external advisors and other team initiatives as they arise

Recent graduates or university students based in Stockholm
Excellent academic background with a strong foundation in accounting finance or a related field
Strong interest in working in the financial sector
Excellent written and verbal communication skills analytical abilities problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently under tight deadlines
Highly motivated responsible and a team player
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a keen interest in learning new software tools
Proficiency in Swedish and English
