The Cylinder Maintenance Technician will assist in the rehabilitation and repair of Liquid Cylinder tanks (both industrial and beverage) at the companys Whites Creek facility. The technician will be responsible for performing regularly scheduled repairs rehab and upgrades of Liquid Cylinders. This role involves properly receiving and inspecting cylinders removing old signage performing Normal Evaporative Rate (NER) testing polishing tanks and installing new decals to prepare for shipping.

We are looking for someone who can follow procedures from company LCR rehab manuals and other this position the technician will also maintain liquid cylinders and perform associated warehouse forklift and inventory tasks. Ideally you are detail-oriented and thorough with an interest in learning how to properly handle both liquid and high-pressure gas cylinders. Following training we will support you in passing written and oral tests on LCR procedures and federal handling of hazardous materials (HHM) regulations.

  • Comply with all Company and industry safety policies including the full-time use of Personal Protective Equipment and prompt reporting of any accidents.

  • Ability to manage your workflow effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Availability for occasional overtime if necessary.

  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

  • Comfortable working outdoors in a wide range of temperatures.

  • Ability to use hand tools (electrical and manual) in a safe manner.

  • We are looking for the ability to operate a forklift and maintain appropriate certifications.

  • Ability to read analyze and interpret safety instructions technical procedures or governmental regulations (MSDS).

  • Maintain a neat clean and orderly plant appearance including general facility housekeeping.

  • Learn and apply Great Customer Service techniques for both internal and external customers.

  • Service inspect and maintain shop tools and inventory required to perform service.

  • Identify and communicate problems to supervisors and submit inspection reports in a timely manner.

  • Attend company safety meetings and possess a genuine commitment to safety.

  • Ideally you bring proficient math skills and the ability to calculate units of measure.

  • Proactively contributes to problem-solving and troubleshooting with results.

  • Operate in a drug-free workplace.

  • Support the LCR team in other rehab stations as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read and write in English.

  • Pre-employment and random drug testing physical and background screen applies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Must have basic computer skills or willing to take classes to learn those skills.

  • Able to understand piping and tank detail from manuals and mechanical drawings.

  • Experience with cryogenic gases and systems high pressure piping/tubing work a plus.

  • Experience in the HVAC or plumbing industry with hands on welding/brazing skill a plus.
