We are looking for a dedicated Orthopedic Physicians Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our OGH healthcare team.
The Orthopedic P.A. or Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care in a comprehensive healthcare environment focusing on the assessment diagnosis treatment and evaluation of patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedics excellent patient care skills and a deep understanding of all aspects of advanced practice nursing within the orthopedic specialty.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and create personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Perform joint injections and other orthopedic procedures as required.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on preventative care medical conditions and physical therapy practices.
- Monitor patients progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
- Ensure that all medical practices comply with federal and state laws and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in orthopedic care and best nursing practices.
Qualifications
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license and board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant License
- Specialty certification in Orthopedics preferred.
- Proven experience in orthopedic nursing or related field.
- Knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions and treatments and orthopedic surgical procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to work long hours on feet.
- Maintaining up-to-date Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
