Job Summary

Teacher of Music with a second subject (Full or Part Tme) - Required for September 2026

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented teacher of Music to join our vibrant and successful department.

Ranelagh is an 11-18 coeducational Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos. The school has had five outstanding OFSTED reports but we are not complacent and as such the provision for professional learning and development is something of which we are all very proud.

This post would be suitable for an ECT or experienced teacher. Potential candidates may also wish to know that our admissions policy enables the school to prioritise the admission of children of staff recruited to posts in which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

If you have a very good knowledge and understanding of the subject and you are an excellent teacher looking to develop your career in a supportive and progressive environment we would welcome an application from you. Opportunities for personal development are excellent.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. All staff employed in the school must be aware that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be undertaken.

If you are interested in learning more about the position please contact the Headteacher via the School Office on or by email

Closing date: Friday 6th March at 12pm

The school reserves the right to close this advert early once sufficient applications have been received.

Equal Opportunities

Bracknell Forest Council Working for Equality. We welcome applications from all sections of the community.

How to apply

Please complete the online application form.

The Bonitas Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young students and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.

Employment is with Bonitas Trust and not Bracknell Forest Council. The trust is very popular and for most posts a large number of applications are received - it is therefore not possible to notify all applicants of the outcome. Please accept that if you have not heard within two weeks of the closing date then unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful - in which case we offer our best wishes for the future.
