Job Title: Graduate Trainee Commercial

Location: Johannesburg

The Graduate Trainee Commercial (Sales) role is designed to develop future commercial talent by providing hands-on exposure to sales operations distributor management and market execution within the South African market. The role supports the sales team in driving performance enhancing customer engagement and delivering sustainable business growth while building foundational commercial capabilities.

Responsabilities

Sales & Commercial Support

  • Support execution of the country sales strategy in alignment with regional and global objectives.

  • Assist in sales planning forecasting and tracking of sell-in and sell-out performance.

  • Prepare regular sales performance reports dashboards and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Distributor & Customer Collaboration

  • Support distributor relationship management through performance tracking stock monitoring and KPI reviews.

  • Assist in preparing materials for distributor meetings joint business plans and reviews.

  • Help maintain accurate customer pricing and promotional data.

Market Intelligence & Analysis

  • Conduct market and competitor analysis including pricing promotions and channel activity.

  • Support identification of commercial opportunities and risks within the South African market.

  • Trade Marketing & Activation Support

  • Assist with implementation of trade marketing initiatives promotions and point-of-sale materials.

  • Support coordination of product launches and commercial activations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing Finance Supply Chain and Regulatory teams to support seamless commercial execution.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects as part of the Graduate Trainee development journey.

Ensure 100% compliance with company legal and compliance policies and in adherence with country laws and regulations.

Consistently have an integrated dermatology strategy mindset and utilize in day to day roles & responsibilities in current role - for self and team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • South African citizen or eligible to work in South Africa (Employment Equity)

  • 0 to 1 year of work experience (internships advantageous)

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Sales Management or related field

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Commercial mindset with interest in sales and customer engagement.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proactive adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
