Why Your Role Matters:
As Senior Research Integrity Officer you will join a dedicated team of Senior Case Managers in the Universitys department of Conduct and Integrity with a key role in implementing the Universitys commitment to maintaining the highest standards of research integrity. Your day involves gathering and evaluating facts and information to assess serious complaints; and preparing reports for the Director/ Manager Research Integrity on your findings. You will also contribute to the efforts of the Office of Assurance and Integrity to promote the responsible conduct of research. Your day-to-day focus will be:

  • Managing sensitive and confidential matters with tact sensitivity and respect
  • Contributing to UNSWs policies and procedures to support research integrity
  • Identifying specific or broader organisational issues which may warrant action
  • Providing research-led advice and leadership in programs and initiatives to promote ethical decision making at UNSW

Who You Are:
You are a competent complaint handler with an investigations/legal backgroundoran experienced academic researcher Research Fellow or Early Career Researcher who is passionate about contributing to a culture of responsible conduct of research and would like to apply your skills and experience in a new way.
You will bring the following skills:

  • Advanced academic researchorcase management skills including a proven ability to work in a high-volume work environment
  • High emotional intelligence and judgement
  • Developed organisational skills to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to exercise initiative think conceptually and creatively solve problems.
  • Proven analytical skills with an ability to apply regulatory and professional principles policy and guidelines.

This role reports into the Manager Research Integrity to promote a UNSW culture of ethical decision making by staff and students within and beyond legal compliance.
