To perform this role successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a high standard:

  • Safely operate DOT-regulated vehicles in accordance with FMCSA DOT and local regulations.

  • Identify all items to be delivered or picked up with the customer to ensure completeness and accuracy. Perform visual inspections of equipment and note any damage. Obtain customer signatures on appropriate paperwork.

  • Utilize motorized handling equipment to safely load and unload trucks and trailers.

  • Operate fusion machines to assemble HDPE (high-density polyethylene) pipelines on customer sites to connect pumping systems. Ensure operational requirements are met and adapt procedures to weather conditions affecting HDPE fusion.

  • Secure all items loaded on the truck for safe over-the-road travel using straps chains and other proper load securement techniques.

  • Maintain yard and loading areas free of debris; ensure equipment and accessories are organized and accessible.

  • Follow all safety processes and maintain a Safety First approach in all tasks. Complete Job Safety Assessments before beginning work on customer sites and ensure compliance with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

  • Function effectively in a team environment and also work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Create and maintain a safe work environment and culture.

  • Take proper care of company property and demonstrate innovation accountability and empowerment in daily work.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Class A CDL with applicable endorsements.

Experience & Skills

  • 02 years technical work experience (1 year preferred).

  • Fusion experience preferred.

  • Experience with flatbed trailers and load securement techniques (strapping chaining).

  • Ability to drive overnight routes and cross borders (passport required).

  • Understanding of weight requirements and weight distribution.

  • Ability to obtain required customer clearances (TWIC DISA etc.) and DOT Medical Card.

Driving Requirements / Certifications

  • Clean driving record.

  • Completion of driver-related forms and certifications:

    • Driver Application for Employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

    • Driver Disclosure and Release

    • Employee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement

    • FMCSA Certificate of Awareness

    • Driver Certificate of Violations

    • Driver Statement of On-Duty Hours

    • Road Test and/or copy of valid drivers license

    • Copy of Medical Certificate

Day in the Life

  • Work primarily in shop/manufacturing environments subject to all weather conditions noise fumes within OSHA standards and machinery with moving parts.

  • Physical demands may include bending squatting stooping twisting kneeling climbing lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

  • Work schedule may include extended hours weekends overtime and on-call rotations to fulfill duties.

SALARY:

The estimated salary range for this position is $25/Hr. to $34/Hr. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location and is not typically at the top of the range.
