Step into your new role

As a Highway CADD Designer working in the Mid-Atlantic Region you will focus on multiple projects ranging from small transportation enhancements small bridge projects to large highway/interchange projects. These projects may include intersection improvements road widenings bridge rehab/replacement designs and major interchange designs. This position is available in the Mechanicsburg PA office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of highway and transportation projects ensuring compliance with applicable design criteria standards and regulations.
  • Prepare engineering documents for project advertisements and construction under the supervision of senior engineers and project managers.
  • Collaborate with the highway design team to deliver projects following Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) standards and specifications.
  • Conduct engineering calculations technical analysis and assist in the preparation of design plans.
  • Support project budgeting cost estimating and scheduling efforts as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams clients and stakeholders to coordinate project activities.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in highway transportation design.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid drivers license with a history of safe driving practices.
  • Experience with MicroStation InRoads and Open Road Design.
