REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager
WORK WEEK: 40 hours per week or as needed to accomplish tasks.
WAGE CLASSIFICATION: Hourly
OSHA RISK CLASSIFICATION: High
SUMMARY POSITION STATEMENT
The purpose of this position is to provide support and assistance to the Facilities Manager in maintaining interior exterior and PCHS properties as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Manual labor support for Facilities Manager.
- Demonstrate proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Effectively communicates on a regular and timely basis.
- Provides janitorial support as directed.
- Makes (or facilitates) repairs as directed.
- Provides grounds keeping for all seasons as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Builds skills on building related functions.
- May work with 3rd party vendors in completing tasks if directed.
- Identify and report major repair needs to Facilities Manager.
- Maintain operational standards consistent with regulatory requirements of PCHS.
- Represent the organization in a positive way.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience: General job skill experience.
Job Requirements:
- Possess basic understanding of OSHA
- Willing to learn basic skills of electrical plumbing other commercial building systems and carpentry skills.
- Possess people skills and enjoy working in a health care setting.
- Be able to operate computer system and possess basic computer skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze maintenance needs and offer creative improvements.
- Demonstrate initiative and responsibility.
- Active drivers license is required.
- Tools and equipment will be provided by the organization.
