Job Title: Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location - Syracuse NY

Shift: Days 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Position Summary

Seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment the ability to work independently and experience managing diverse cardiopulmonary conditions.

Candidate Requirements

Must reside outside a 100-mile radius
Pediatric experience preferred
No block scheduling available
Candidates working multiple travel assignments simultaneously will not be considered

Required Qualifications

Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy
Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license/registration
Minimum 2 years of post-degree acute care clinical experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance

Key Responsibilities

Respiratory Therapy & Oxygen Management

Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapies
Initiate and monitor oxygen therapy

Ventilatory Support & Critical Care

Assist physicians with initiation and maintenance of continuous ventilation
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Diagnostic & Clinical Procedures

Perform pulmonary function testing
Conduct radial arterial punctures

Clinical Expectations

Deliver comprehensive respiratory care with minimal supervision
Perform the majority of patient care functions required in an acute care setting
Adapt effectively to varying patient acuity and workload demands
