Provides analytical and other professional level support to the benefits function. May include special projects and studies preparation of communications materials and training on benefits information to a various audiences. May conduct orientation programs on benefits. Conducts and analyzes survey results to assist in comparing benefit plans. Collects and organizes data for actuarial studies and participates in reviews of that data. Drafts benefit communications materials. Maintains benefits records and documents. Advises employees on interpretation of plan provisions and conducts preretirement counseling. Assist with monitors plan costs and identifies problem areas.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Human Resources or related degree with one to three years of benefits administration experience or 5 to 8 years equivalent experience in benefits have strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with project management with a proven ability to employ a systematic structured approach to goal accomplishment and to identify risks and opportunities and develops contingency strategies. Ability to analyze and project financial data. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment. Ability to work independently and interact collaboratively as part of a team.
Work will primarily be performed remotely but at times will require incumbent to be on site. Therefore the individual must live within driving distance of Mayo Clinic Health System.
